Re: '57 dual quad intake
What about using two 4 barrel to 2 barrel adapters and running twin 2 barrels to lower the total cfm?

Re: '57 dual quad intake
@martincom - I agree with your statement but at this point I am just exploring whether it is do-able at all. Thinking out loud, a pair of 390cfm Holleys on adapters with a good ignition system, mild cam, port the heads and add a 100 shot nitrous for the occasional burnout. If that works at all then ...

Re: '57 dual quad intake
Appreciate the quick reply.
Would you know, is there an adapter available?

'57 dual quad intake
My friend says he has a 57 dual quad intake on his shelf that I wouldn't even need to paint. The color and patina matches my engine. My question is, will Edelbrock carbs bolt to this or only the '58 and later intakes? I read somewhere that the 57 uses some small original, unobtainium, never heard of...

Re: New Member with New Project
The other Sweptline in my shop is a 67 d100 small window, long bed registered non op in CA in my name. It looks rougher than it is but does have issues. Some tweaker flipped the axles so they are sitting on the frame. Steering box and column are missing. It has a straight hood but no hinges. Has ref...

Re: New Member with New Project
Thanks again. The Caddy has actually been in the family since new and I'm ecstatic to have it. It's mostly a survivor including wavy panels from multiple minor accidents and one repaint before I got it without jambing it or any bodywork. I swapped a big block 500 c.i. Caddy /TH400 in to it about 12 ...

Re: New Member with New Project
Thanks Jim! I waited almost a year for the shop to be completed in Feb. '22. Got my stuff moved from storage a month ago and I'm still trying to get organized. Lots of new (to us) house projects with priority so hoping to get back on the Charger this late summer/early winter. Once I get the Charger ...

I'm so excited I could hardly wait to be approved by Admin so I can tell you about what I found. Last week I found and bought a '64 D100 shortbed with 318 poly V8, 4 speed, big back window and killer patina to preserve until I can do bodywork and paint. Not one or two digit rare but certainly a scar...
