65' D100 Left Tie rod End Availability

Hello, I figured that in ain't a bad idea to replace the original tie rod ends on my early 65 d100, seems they only make the right hand thread ones. I know that this topic has been posted multiple times but I wanted to make this post just in case anybody started producing them as of recent. I've fou...

Re: Need tie rod ends for 63 d100

My centerlink was bent pretty bad to the point that it would bind on the front axle when you would hit the brakes! Somebody in the past managed to reverse over something and hit it so hard it bent the link and axle pretty bad, had to get it glowing with oxy fuel and pound it back, thank you for the ...

where from?
I got em off Ebay never used in the original box for $15 on a bid with one other person, they had been listed weirdly so I guess not many people found em.

Re: Original Radio

I replaced every electrolytic capacitor in mine, I also soldered in an aux cord into the volume pot so I plug my phone in and it throws the phones audio signal in before the AM radio signal, unplug it and its just like factory. Great idea! What kind of phone, where did you get a speaker output from...

Re: Original Radio

Probably somewhere between $15-$30 depending on condition? :thinking This has 48+ year old capacitors, resistors, etc. in it.... so there's no telling when it'll give up the ghost. :thinking  John I replaced every electrolytic capacitor in mine, I also soldered in an aux cord into the volume p...

Re: Wiper Blade Refills

I just found a original pair of 12" Anco red dots for my '64 to replace the cheap aftermarket ones the previous owner had installed, according to the parts manual it uses Turtleback 800's which is what I got. I don't know if this helps for refills but it should take a 12" curved windshield Anco Turt...

Re: 65 D100 Driver door hinge repair

Mark DuVerger was the author of the video. I offered some suggestions to improve the rebuild, as comments to the YouTube video. Mark disagreed with most of them, especially the adding of a grease zerk to the hinge arm, to allow for lubrication. He claimed the bushings were "Oilrite" brand and did n...

I was confused when I saw it too! :thinking

Re: Original price?

My truck has the original dealership decal for Bill Breck Dodge out of Colorado Springs on the tailgate, going through some old newspaper clippings I found online it shows an ad for a new decently standard 1-ton with a 50,000 mile/5 year bumper to bumper warranty listed at $1799. I wish new trucks w...

Re: 65 D100 Driver door hinge repair

675-5143 is the Napa part number. I tried to install them using the You-tube video with no success, pin would not come out. Heating and then using a press might be helpful. The end of the hinge is mortised with drill press before installing pin to accommodate the bushing which was countersunk accor...

Amazing detailed write up, what is that box with a cable sitting just above the reservoir? Is it cruise control?

65 D100 Driver door hinge repair

Hello, I've decided to finally get to replacing the pins in my driver side hinge, I remember for a while there was a good video on YouTube of someone changing the pins in them, unfortunately the video has since been deleted. Does anybody have a part number for a hinge pin kit that is known to work o...

The IMCDB site is pretty cool, you just select the car you want and it will show dozens of movies with the vehicles appearance!

Re: Rear drum replacement part#

Did you measure both drums to figure out what’s rubbing? Take both back to Napa and have them measure and throw it on their brake lathe. Might just need the edge cut. :2cents :2cents Craig The drum has a channel around it that the backing plate runs in between. The edge of the backing plate sticks ...

Rear drum replacement part#

I got a 65’ D100 with the non-tapered axle. The shoes were wore out and dug the robots into the drum. I have looked everywhere and can’t find a new replacement drum. I got some at Napa that fit fine besides the rub against the backing plate.
Does anybody know of a rear drum that will fit??

Re: Found my Build Sheet, Got a couple Questions

Do you have a SERT tag on your door jamb? It could be a number of things. If there were any special ordered parts, they will be listed on a SERT tag, if they were standard option packages in the truck, there would be no reason for the SERT tag. Could be "Custom Cab" appearance package, etc. I only ...

Found my Build Sheet, Got a couple Questions

I got a 1965 Dodge d100 Sweptline I was going through and bleeding my brakes when I looked up at the frame and sandwiched between the frame and the cross member for the bed was the build sheet. Unfortunately, 50 years of wear and tear had it's way with it and little is legible, but I would have what...
