Re: Fuel filter brand?
Also happened to me last year, couldn't believe it. I now run two filters, one under the truck and one at the carbs. I check them periodically just to make sure they are both functioning.

Re: 1967 D100 Door Window Weatherstrip and Seals
I also purchased all my window rubber from Restoration Specialties but I did not use the rubber window scraper they provided in their kit. As martincom says, they are not rigid and rather flimsy. I used the felt cat whiskers and they installed quickly and are solid with the steel belt backing. I've ...

Re: Rubber floor
There is a '67 D200 on BaT at the moment and the floor in that one came from ACC according to the seller. Seller also says it took some fitting and heat to get it go around the bends etc. And also needed trimming. Didn't look too bad.

Re: need new fuel sending unit
Has anyone tried replacing the metal float with an equivalent piece of cork? I've seen sending units for other vehicles use cork as the float. It would certainly sound less metallic when hitting the side of the tank.

Re: need new fuel sending unit
Anyone figured out how to stop the sending unit from hitting the side of the tank? The old one I replaced would do it when the fuel level was low. The new one seems to do it primarily when the tank is near full. It's irritating to listen to if nothing else.

Re: Saginaw Box
Thanks John but it was something I was interested in rebuilding myself. I notice there are a number of different rebuild kits out there, depending on the ratio and spline number. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the correct one so I need to know exactly which box I have. I just noticed you ...

Saginaw Box
From researching this forum it looks like my '67 D100 would have had a 525 Saginaw steering box. Is this correct? There seem to be quite a few 525's, with differing spline counts and different ratios. Would anyone know which one Dodge would have used on the D100's in '67? Alternatively how do I dete...

Re: bumpsteer
so did you find the problem .... I believe it was the tie rod ends. Both sides were shot. I was able to take it for a short drive and it felt tighter, not as loose going over bumps, but won't know 100% until the spring when the roads are clear of salt. I also have to get an alignment and that will ...

Re: bumpsteer
Didn't mean to hijack the thread, just asked a question after nutz's explanation about what to measure to help assess bumpsteer. And of course it went from there. I rarely reread an entire thread, usually just going to new postings on a topic. I hadn't read the first part of the thread in awhile so ...

Re: bumpsteer
Something (or possibly several things) are strange with your front axle and suspension. Dropped tie rod ends (like those you removed) are used when the tie rod has been placed on a different level due to the axle being repositioned from lowering (regardless of the method used to lower the axle). Th...

Re: bumpsteer
The tie rod ends you referred to are straight. You have dropped tie rod ends which were likely added in an attempt to get everything to actually connect while giving the tie rod a place to travel below where it normally travels. Usually, straight tie rod ends can't be used because after lowering th...

Re: bumpsteer
Based on a search I did here it looks like ES140R will fit the right side and ES62L will fit the left. My right side is really pooched, not only can I move it back and forth about a 1/16", I can compress it about a 1/4" with pliers, and the boot is missing. Definitely time to replace.

Re: bumpsteer
So it looks like I have loose centre link tie rod ends. I can move both of them about 1/16" (1-2mm). Drag link is tight. So I'll have to find some tie rod ends. How are your king pins and Saginaw box? John The king pins are tight, I can't budge them. Is the Saginaw box the one at the end of the ste...

Re: bumpsteer
So I am looking at all of the usual suppliers and they all only list the right side (passengers side) tie rod. My parts book shows one right hand thread (passengers side) and one left hand thread (drivers side). This may be a dumb question but why is there no left side tie rods on any of the sites? ...

Re: bumpsteer
bump steer is from your drag link angles or a bent spindle/drop axle when on the ground ,best if you have turn plates ,but can do without wheel pointing straight a head measure your center link (tie rod ends ) and drag link ends they should be even with the ground now turn all the way to the left a...

Looks fantastic. Is the foam already attached to the vinyl? If not did you glue in the foam to the roof first and then the vinyl or glue foam to vinyl and then roof?

Re: Dart Bucket Seats
So I may have a line on a pair of '65 Dart seats.
I assume these will be OK but wanted to get a picture or maybe a schematic showing how the seats are secured to the cab. Can someone that has the Dart seats installed post a picture of what and how they are secured to the cab floor? Thanks.
