Re: need new fuel sending unit
You can select the fuel gauge, from Boese, that mates with the OEM sending unit.

Here is an excerpt from the '69 - '70 Service Manual. I'm not sure if it is the same. Quality re-prints of the factory service manual are readily available at a reasonable price. It'll be the best investment you can make in your truck.

Re: 727 transmission
While there is a vendor or two that offers pre-formed fuel, brake & transmission lines, I don't know of anyone offering pre-formed lines for sweptlines. I've made my own several times, utilizing the old lines as a pattern. It isn't too bad of a task. It requires a tubing bender and an inverted flare...

Re: Power brake booster
Did you replace the master cylinder with your disc brake conversion? Combo disc/drum master cylinders have a larger reservoir for the front (disc) portion as disc's automatic adjustment is simply to allow the caliper to rest further in the bore as wear occurs. As such, the caliper retains more brake...

Re: Rear drums and proportioning valve
I did a check on Rockauto.com and they were out of stock. However, they listed the manufacture and manufacturer's part number for two vendors: DYNAMIC FRICTION 36543004 CENTRIC 12363005 I then searched for each of the part numbers and found quite a few listings--most out of stock. However, there was...

Re: Where did you mount your tach?
No, that's a LOT pricey. Most any shop with a CNC llaser or plasma cutter can knock out one of those panels for less than a couple of hundred bucks. Eve n a CNC water jet can do it. Eve n less if you want to do your own minor deburring and finishing. A lot less than that if they've already got the ...

The econo version is just the panel, without gauges. But, Hey, we like your thinking and keep those positive waves coming!

Re: Where did you mount your tach?
A little pricey, but you can fit your truck with the heavy duty gauge option utilizing current aftermarket gauges. They even have a panel to fit 69-71 dash:

Re: 68 Camper Special Instrument rehab
2. Has anyone replaced a pressure line gauge with an electric one that has a style that fits the cluster with a compatible electric sensor? The 69 - 71 standard instrument cluster included the oil light, but it was an option for a electronic gauge that fit in the same cluster. This gauge may fit in...

Re: Power steering control valve seals
At one time, I believe Bud Thorp was offering a rebuild service. As such, I would gather he has sources and possibly seals on-hand. I'd reach out to him at: https://www.dodgesweptlineparts.com/preview/ If not, I know some of the larger rebuilders were still offering rebuild services, but I doubt if ...

Re: Brake-Wheel laughs
A press is a much better method to remove/install wheel studs. Quite often, the studs are what keep the drum mated to the hub. You'll find a press is a necessary shop tool, as many service procedures require it and attempting to substitute a hammer only destroys things. Quite often you can find a us...

Re: Exhaust help
If you paid with a credit card, you can ask the credit card company to intervene. Typically, they'll issue you an immediate credit, conduct a document investigation, and then make a final decision. I always utilize this as a last resort, but I've been successful every instance in which I did so.

I don't believe a center console was ever a factory option. All the factory bucket seats I've seen had a flip down buddy seat in the middle.

Re: COIL & External Condenser?
I had purchased a used John Deere 314, w/14 hp Kohler, that idled extremely rough. The throttle shaft holes, in the main body, were so worn that an excessive amount of air was leaking past them. Found a kit with bushings for the main body and a new throttle shaft. A night & day difference.

Re: COIL & External Condenser?
I've never had a coil fail. The only instance I've ever need to replace one is when a previous servicer lost a terminal nut, 10-32, and replaced it with a 10-24, stripping the threads.

[/quote]I do not believe that is correct. My 66 W100 was built in Windsor, Ont, Canada. I have Canadian Truck VIN tags in my collection clearly stating built in Windsor, Canada.
