Re: wiper motor gasket
Thanks for the replies. Does the complete wiper linkage/assy need to be removed in order to remove the wiper motor? I was thinking the linkage only had to be removed from the motor for it to come out. There is a 7/16 nut that holds the linkages to the motor. You can remove the nut and pull the link...

Re: wiper motor gasket
There are four bolts on studs that hold the motor in place. On my 68 I had to remove the wipers, cowl and linkage. You can then disconnect the wiring and four nuts. The motor should come right out. I used a cork gasket I made, hasn’t been in the rain yet but would think it should hold up ok. Good luck

Re: Blown Wheel Cylinders
Is Centric a brand name ? Where did you buy them, so that I can avoid the same issue ? I found them on rock auto, ended up buying Raybestos ones. Will be bleeding them and testing them this week. Would think I shouldn’t have problems. On a side note, my master cylinder has 2 reservoirs I would assu...

Blown Wheel Cylinders
Well guys I gotta a another question. I recently just completed my rear brakes (pads, springs, clips cylinders etc...). After completing them I was bleeding them with a buddy when my pedal went to the floor. Turns out the rear left must have blown a seal because the brake fluid was coming from the w...

Re: Steering Column Clamps?
I would think they have some kind of purpose. Doesn't make sense to pay the money during production if they do not serve a purpose...?

Steering Column Clamps?
I was messing around with my truck and noticed there are 2 clamps at the bottom of the steering column by the floorboards that are about 6-8" apart. Looks like they were used to hold something (small fire extinguisher etc.) Does anyone one what would have been there from the factory? Thanks!

Re: Carb ID?
This looks pretty similar to the one i have. I too am missing a tag and needed help finding a rebuild kit. If you look down on the forum you will see the topic "Carter BBD Card???" (down maybe 20 posts). The rebuild kit Kaegi recommended was the correct one. Sorry if this does answer your question b...

Re: Stock Spark Plug Separators
I plan on getting those as well, but it looks as if there should be something that goes on the bracket in the middle of the valve cover between the brackets that require the ones you are talking about.

Well, I finally got my front end and power steering system hooked back up. With the front end lifted and truck off I filled the pump with the wheels centered, and turned lock to lock 20+ times. I then lowered, started and did the same thing with the truck running. It turns great to the right but am ...
