Re: `58 Power Wagon/ Giant fire up
Love it. Especially when the previous owner upgrades the engine. Mine had a 313 originally. Previous company put in a truck 361. Sat for 30 years. I did the same things you did. Started right up. Exhaust color was every color in the rainbow. I took it easy on the engine. You have a great truck. I'm ...

Sanity Check please
So I am swapping out my hacked up transmission pan on my W300. Removed, I wanted to see what engages and what doesn't when I pull and push all the levers. Everything works the way it should and drives just fine(as fine as a W300 can). So the truck is idling in neutral. NP201 is disengaged(front axle...

Steering stabilizer
Hi can,
Can someone recommend a steering stabilizer for the 61 thru 68 W300? With unbalanced tube tires I would like to control the shimmy that happens from to time.
Thanks guys,
Doug
P.S. my shocks are Monroe's from 1968. Can you recommend a replacement for those as well?

Power Wagon emblem hood placement
Was there a template where to place the Power Wagon emblems on the hood of our sweptlines? If figured I have been working on all the heavy stuff and would like to take a break by just doing something easy that didn't involved seized bolts or oil and grease.

Re: medium duty dodge engine mount question
does anyone have a big block medium duty that I can see pics or s description of where the horseshoe mount bolts to the frame? is the rubber mount on the engine or the frame? thx You can always use a hockey puck. Re: Old gas
I have used this product many times with great results. http://www.starbrite.com/startron Starbrite rules. But...its not a miracle worker. If your gas has been sitting for two years you should be OK. 5 years or more detach the fuel line at the fuel pump and let gravity just drain that tank. Replace...

Re: 318 engine stalls
I have a 68 with a 4 speed tranny. When I brake aggressively the engine dies. Tried disconnecting and plugging power brake booster, but it did not help. Any suggestions? thanks Fuel pressure is dropping or float level needs adjustment(not enough fuel in the float bowls to keep fuel from flowing). R...

Re: 69 Dodge W200 318 Transplant 340~440 engine. Help?
I know this is a late response. Leave the 340 for the guys that need that engine for 68-73 muscle restoration guys. The 340 was called the big block killer. 440 is a huge reconfigure and expensive transplant. Get yourself a 1968 thru 1971 318. You can find newly rebuilt ones with 350hp for $1500. No...

I see now. Thank you Bucky I don't think everyone who is interested here has seen everything with this truck. Everyone has a theory and for the most part everyone has been right. But Fargo did what they needed to do and that was send the trucks to the Warren truck heavy duty plant. This was my grea...

Here are some pictures of the mighty Chrysler 361 truck engine. More torque than the 383. It was cool to see radiator hoses going into and out of the intake manifold.

Hi gang, I know its hard to find parts for our trucks, especially brakes, but who could you recommend best source of brake parts for the W300s years 1962 thru 1968? I need drums, wheels cylinders or rebuild kits and linings. A tall order but all four corners need rebuilding so my truck is going nowh...

Tailgate width year change
HI gang, What year did the sweptline tailgate gain a size wider? 1966? My tailgate suffered a telephone pole dropping on it and I don't think it's repairable. But the part of the tailgate with the name Fargo is still good so I was thinking of grafting that portion into a used decent shaped Dodge tai...

If both ebrakes work in tandem, u will never be able to use the winch to pull somebody out of a ditch. Forget about or remove the one on the trans, or have a separate handle for it. Good advice. I didn't think about that as we were going over the myriad of oddities. Wasnt thinking about the mechani...

Re: 61-65 w300 floorplan
Bucky, u gotta remember this is a frankentruck. It started out as a D300, then was converted to a W. From the factory, the brake is on the tranny in a D, on the transfer case in a W. NEVER on both. More information on my truck. The cab is a '62. The chassis is a 68 W300. The engine is a 361. Engine...
