Best Place for Brake Parts (71 W100)
Hello all, Tackling a pull to the left on my recently acquired 71 W100. The front brake hoses look to be original, so I'm thinking part of the problem may potentially be swollen hoses. I ordered the hoses from RockAuto and, to my surprise, they don't work (shocking I know!) I'm wondering if any of y...

Short Bed Utiline Toolbox?
Hi all,
My Dad's 1941 Dodge pickup had a tool box that mounted on the outside of the bed that was quite handy. Does anyone have a small toolbox mounted on the exterior portion (on the step) of a utiline short bed that they'd be willing to share pictures of?
Thanks!
Dan

Re: Wheels/Rims Pic Thread Request
This was a really helpful thread to guide me in the direction I wanted to go with my W100, wanted to share in case it helps others.
Picture attached, went with 15x7 white Ramcharger steel wheels running Firestone Destination MT2 31x10.5R15.

Re: Third time the charm?
Thanks! Here is a pic.
Really digging the "patina" look. I'll get her cleaned up and probably spray a clearcoat over it. With the white roof/front bumper , I really think a set of white steelies with some OWL tires will really look good.

Third time the charm?
Hello all, Happy to be re-joining the Sweptline (in this case Utiline) community once more. Originally had a 69 W100 Long Bed Sweptline with a 383/4spd that was pretty much all original with 90,000 miles. I regretted selling it, and picked up a 71 W100 Long Bed Sweptline with a 360/4spd hoping it wo...

Re: Transport Recommendations
Private seller, so I'd assume it would be in a neighborhood, which is also where it would need to be dropped off. Thankfully it is running and driving, short bed.
Thanks,
Dan

Transport Recommendations
Good evening all,
Trying to get recommendations of good companies to use to transport a Sweptline. Please let me know what companies you've used that you've had good success with.
Thanks!
Dan

Tempting, but California is a good clip away from Southeastern Michigan!

Re: Is this a NP445 truck?
Sorry, I should have specified this wasn't my truck. I had seen a 69 W100 on Facebook Market Place for 2500 bucks, 383 4-speed. Someone snagged it and a week later it was put on Craiglist for 5k (without ANY paperwork). I saw the tag and figured that "spec" may mean 445, since the two PW's I have ow...

Re: Is this a NP445 truck?
No PTO winch on the front. The truck does have the 383 motor and 3.55 gear.
Just thought it was strange. I thought NP445 was called out just like NP435.

Is this a NP445 truck?
I've have two Power Wagons and both have been equipped with NP435s, clearly labeled on the door tag.
I saw this and it shows "Spec" for transmission. It's a 69 W100, and I'm assuming it's a NP445 trans?
What say you experts?
Thanks,
Dan

Re: 360 swap to 318
Thanks for the responses all. The 360 was installed in the truck by the previous owner (God only know how long ago). I don't know if they utilized the correct flywheel, but wouldn't I get a vibration all the time and not just between 1300-1400 RPM? Truck drives down the road at 50ish turning 2500 RP...

360 swap to 318
Hello all, Currently own a 1971 W100 that is running a 1973 360 V8 which replaced the original 318. The motor runs OK, but is getting tired, smokes when cold and has a vibration between 1300-1400 RPM (I know it's engine related and not drivetrain related). I'm slowly tackling projects on this truck,...

NP205 Removal
Hello all, Still relatively new to the world of Sweptlines, and have a question regarding removal of the NP205 on my 71 PW. My NP205 is in pretty sad shape. She leaks terribly and I think the previous owner basically just ran it dry most of the time. That being said, surprisingly enough, my 4WD does...

Re: Any interest in my 383?
If it included the bellhousing, motor mounts, etc. I would definitely be interested. I'd like to swap out my tired 360 for a 383.
Oh well, good luck with selling it!

67 383 in a 71PW
Hi all, I've been kicking around replacing the tired 360 in my 71 Power Wagon (Moby Dick) with something a bit more stout. The factory 318 is long gone, so I don't feel too bad getting something that wasn't in the engine bay to begin with. I've got a line on a pretty rough 67 PW that has a 383 in it...

Re: 1969 W200 Power Wagon
I think all the sweptlines and utilines (which is what your uncle has) are worth saving, minus the trucks that are truly rusted beyond repair. You definitely don't see as many utilines running around as the sweptlines, so that is definitely cool. You're not going to win any races, the slant six was ...

Thanks for all the help everyone!
Eventually I'd like to throw a big block in it, so I just want to keep this 360 going for the time being!
