Just installed these. US Wheels rat rods, 17x8, 4.5 bs, 235/65r17. Was gonna go 255/60 but couldn't find used in that size and didn't wanna put good rubber on till I've done some more work to it. Will look way better after I lower it.

This is what I may do to my 63 eventually. Much more dificult with mid 65 up. This makes it a med bed lwb. Looks good to me. Shop that did this is out of the mid west some where. I can find out the name if any one is interested.

Ok thanks! Just thought it might be something else because my shop put the original hood back on with out any issues and everything lined up as before.

Hey y'all, got a question on weather or not different hoods from different years can swap. I have a 68 swepty that the hood lines up and fits well. I have a clean 70 hood that I want to swap out(I prefer the 69-71 hood shape). My shop that I have do work on my truck couldn't get the 70 hood to line ...

I'm doing the same thing you are contemplating. Just dropped it off to the shop that is doing it so don't have any pics or info yet. I'm sure the info to do it is here but you are going to have to hunt for it. From what I've gathered so far the difference in wheel base is 14". The short bed is 114" ...

Hey moore7568, can you elaborate more on what you had to do for the crown vic swap or do you have a write up some where? All I can ever find of this installation is before and after but no in betweens haha. Thanks.
