8 lug dana 44-35 closed knuckle front end

Post by pitbull6996 »

need help to figure out ...does anyone have pic's...
i have aquired a 8 lug dana 44 closed knuckle with 4.10 gears that are dated 9 26 62 on ring gear it has large knuckles ..my best guess is it might be 300 series...trying to find replacement parts ie spindle and wheel brg nuts, drag link w/tie rods, spring mountpads (diff. side critickle as it has a odd shape to the bottom of the axle)both sides prefered...wanting to mount under front of 66 camper special that is converted 4 wheeldrive w/6in skyjacker lift....i have viewed other 44 fronts all have had small knuckles thus adding to my confusion. thanks for any help :study :banghead :censored
ps.my spindle's are held in place by 11 bolts with a gap at 6oclock position(no hole)

:welcome What you have is the HD-44-f. It was a option in the W200.It is rated as a 3500lb axel, but all the trucks I have seen them in(I have three) say 3000lb on the data plate. The spindle is the same as the 3000lb axle except it has 5 more holes.Spring mount pads, and draglink are the same too.Look below in this section for a draglink sourse.
