Hello, as far as I concern in most W200 trucks a Spicer 60 rear axle and a Dana 44F front axle with closed knuckles is installed (stock configuration). The spindle nuts on my truck are in a good condition. For the front axle I got two lock washers (stock part number 1791 716). But I'm still looking for at least two lock washers for the rear axle (stock part number 1922 455).
Does somebody know, is there a replacement part used on newer trucks that fits for this application?
I'll appreciate every answer very very much. Thanks a lot.

Hi Dieter,
I don't know about the newer stuff, but I got some new ones from Rockauto.com. I have a 64' W200 with the Dana 60 in the rear, and the Dana 44 in the front.I'm in the process of replacing brakes, bearings etc. and needed some replacement washers for the 60. The 44 washers were still good, and I didn't have any luck finding replacements anyway.
There is a size difference between the two. INSIDE diameter of the 44's is 1.78" and the 66's are 1.82"
You MIGHT be able to use the 66 on the 44, but I didn't have a high level of confidence that they would do the job. They were sort of loose fitting.
The new ones I got from Rockauto, are made by Dorman. The part number is 618-050, and are a few bucks for a box of two. They are of a little different design then the ones that came off the truck, but they fit good and should work just fine. Hope this helps.

Dieter,
I am not absolutely positive about this but I don't think there was really any change in the later Dana 60's. Not sure what your parts situation is but I would check first on the later model listings if you have access. There are two different types of nut set ups but yours has been the most common style I have seen. And the better one in my opinion.
BTW, my Dad started the first several years of grade school in meinigen. Not sure that is spelled correctly but I still have relatives in Switzerland.

To Macster: Thanks a lot for your hint about rockauto. From there I got many parts for my truck. So I would order some Dorman 618050 to see if the will fit the application on the rear axle (Dana 60). The second way would be to ask the spare part guy at Calonder (http://www.calonder.ch/) - this company is importing new trucks to Switzerland.
To Russ: Nice to read from you. Yep, Roth is a common Swiss name and the city might be Meiringen. So I'm sure you'll still have some relatives in Switzerland. By the way, my aunt's living in Bruderheim, AB. She was living for many years in BC. She's married with Sandy McMorran. My aunt was shipping a 2 3/8" and a 2 1/2" socket from SPXOTC for the hex nuts on the front (2 3/8") and rear (2 1/2") axle.
