rims
I am thinking of going back to stone stock wheels on my 1970 D100 which would have been white steel rims with dog dish.
Here are the rims that came on my truck; I recognize them as a type of 70's Mopar mag but I have no idea what from.
Can anyone shed some light on what these rims were off of, and would they have any value if I decide to not use them?

Re: rims
Thanks; my d100 is a 70 so they are not appropriate for it.
Anyone got a suggested value on 4 rims with chrome trim rings?

Re: rims
That does look great; are the centre caps available for purchase? I am missing 3 of them.

Re: rims
I don't know about the center caps... I had bought this complete set for $100 at Chryslers at Carlisle about... eh... 10 years ago?? Seems like yesterday!fireguyfire wrote:That does look great; are the centre caps available for purchase? I am missing 3 of them.

Re: rims
If I do go back to stone stock, 2 questions;
1) What would have been the style of dog dish hubcaps for a 1970?
2) Do the steel rims need the center "prongs" for the dog dish, or would any steel rim work? Not sure if the dog dish fit inside the rim like a full wheel cover, or on prongs on the rim like some I've seen from other makes.

Re: rims
Yeah, but those aren't "Dog Dish". Those are the Wheel Covers. The Dog Dish are the ones that are small and round.... something you could feed your dog from .fireguyfire wrote:I’m pretty sure those were Adventurer only; had to track down a set for my sons 69 d100 Adventurer
Re: rims
No prongs. You'll see three protrusions around the center that the cap presses over.

Re: rims
Looks like the steel rims I have will take a 8 1/2” or 8 3/5” dog dish.
Can anyone post up what a 1970 dog dish of that size would look like so I can track down the correct ones?

Re: rims
This is what shows up in the 71 brochure. Same as the car for 100's. I've seen reproductions for around $400.00 a set but you would really have to want shinny to go that route. I looked at the 69 and 70 brochure and they were different. I didn't post pic's from the 70 brochure because everything seemed to be pictures of D200's and dealt with camping or farm work which again were probably D200's.

Re: rims
I’m pretty sure the 1970 dodge dish were that same style but without the dodge logo and red ring in the middle.
Can anyone confirm that?

Re: rims
Those in the pictures are listed for 69 to 74. I also took note that the same hub caps for the 71 D200 appear in the 69 and 70 brochures with D200's. Oddly enough however,I have never seen those hub caps on a D200 truck. I look at eBay, Craigslist and several other sites daily and typically if it has hub caps they look more like this...

Re: rims
Those won't fit D100 wheels but there were some flatter ones, that were similar, that might. They seem to be pretty uncommon though. I've seen the pictured ones on D200s in person and on this site.MadMC63 wrote:Those in the pictures are listed for 69 to 74. Re: rims
Your right. That is what I said I saw or similar on D200s. The hub cap I haven't seen ( which is in all the brochures, 69 - 71, on D200s) are in this picture is that what you meant by flatter?
