Pulled the /6 engine to have it rebuilt and have since re-installed it. Having a problem remembering the parking brake cable routing. Fits good going over the valve cover but doesn't look right. Anyone have a photo of the correct routing on their /6 please send to camauzy@yahoo.com.

sorry it's not a slant six but i can't imagine the routing is much different for the eight cylinder trucks..
i'm pretty sure this is the original factory routing.
here you can see it comes out the gland on the firewall and then over the top of the inner fender and then through a bracket bolted to the driver's frame rail above the steering box:

don't really see how it would go near the /6 valve cover unless you were in england or australia

Thanks for the photos. My parking brake is located right behind the transmission, not at the rear brakes and would probably take a different route.
