soopernaut wrote:The movie is Bunny O'Hare. The 2 main characters practically live in a Sweptline so it is shown in about 90% of the movie. It is a light Green 70-71 D200 Adventurer with a small camper on the back. The truck looks kind of rough for being in a movie that was filmed in 1971. I think they just lightly sprayed some Black paint or primer on certain parts of the truck to make it look worse than it was. :thinking
As old as this thread is..
Watching this movie now, Ernest Borgnine and Bette Davis with said camper special. The camper was a pop top that didn't go over the cab. The front of the the truck carried a bumper mounted 440 Victor BSA that the pair used for a bank job.
Seen this movie before but never paid much attention, decent movie!

I watched Raising Arizona the other day. There is a scene where Nicholas Cage has robbed a convenient store and is picked up in an old truck and is sent flying through the windshield. The truck isn't a Sweptline at first, but when he goes flying through the windshield it is a Sweptline. We rewound the scene and watched it in slow motion several times to make sure. I guess the Swepty was the stunt truck for that particular scene.

There was a Sweptline in a movie on tv last night 4/29/17.
"Where the Heart Is"....filmed in 2000.....it was in several scenes...Turquoise with a sign on the door that says "Welcome Woman".
I wondered if the owner is a member.

Just saw an underwear ad featuring NBA player Kevin Love and a really nice adventurer, there are actually several commercials with it in it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5ReeemPnzs It would be awesome if that were his truck

Ok, I have gone trough the complete thread. I thought I had posted this but can't find it. There was lots of sweptlines in Lassie (and other mopar products as the show was sponsored).
It is afterall the reason that I wanted to get a mid 60s Dodge pickup that had to be a pie plate long bed
I used to watch this as a kid, never knew then what trucks they where using but thought it looked really cool and have always wanted one since.

Check this out, all of the shows on youtube:

For sweptlines, check out season 13 and up
Here is one episode from season 13:

And yes, that is my plans for my truck. A USFS replica :dance

OK, kids, here it is! The debut of my '68 D100 in a movie! This is the first part in a web series called "Ray in the 64-Bit Dimension". I play Ray's Dad, a TV repairman who is pretty fed-up with his son Ray, 30, who stills lives at home and acts like a 13-year-old...complete with imaginary friends and all! It's funny as hell, too! Watch for me early on, and towards the end in the truck. Enjoy!

It was posted before but I don't know if it is in this thread. It isn't movies or TV.

I know the movie Overboard with Kurt Russel has been mentioned before. Not sure if anyone has noticed, but there is 2 different crewcabs used in the movie. A D200 and a W200. The first time he pulls in the driveway, its a power wagon. He leaves to go pick up goldie hawn in a 2wd. Just wanted to point it out.

:welcome R2D100! Cool name too! OH... I haven't seen that movie, but you must mean "Lois" Lane... as Louis would be her "Brother" Just kidding around! When you get the chance, make an introduction and post pics, we all "LOVE THEM". In the meantime, have FUN! :salut
