Auto trans mount

Auto trans mount
I got the 383 in the 68, but the rear mount on the transmission is about 2 inches to far forward. Won't line up.
If it were easy, everyone would do it.

Did you use the factory crossmembers or what? And what engine brackets did you use?

Used stock cross member, spanner from another 68. Found some big block mounts. I appreciate Your help. The motor trans is from a 68 Newport.

I'm not certain, but the mounts for a car and a truck are different. Would that make a difference in position?

It was a difference in years. 72 and newer are different from 61-71. Power wagon 54 had the correct parts.
