D600 body panels
So as if one 71 wasn't enough, I found this ex railroad company W600 locally. Damn solid mechanically but fenders are razor thin cheese grater quality rust sheets. I can fab up the front drop panel but are there any aftermarket fender panels? Can I use any other quarters? D100 etc?

Re: D600 body panels
To keep it looking proportional you need fenders from a 500/600/700/800 series vehicle. The W500/600 have a larger "lip/flare" than the D series.
100/200 & 300/400 series will I think bolt up but may look puny.

This is the monster in question. Note the fender is pretty much cheesecloth. Reportedly the front end was custom-built by a separate company (Shuttle Corp.) judging by the narrow width track for railroad work. I was told it has a napco axle and a new process transfer case with PTO. Onboard compressor that is belt driven also.

Normally W600's have Rockwell drivetrain (T-case & axles). Tough looking rig.

That is rad. I bet Kenny Exline could build you what you want. You could probably have him do wheel lips and you'd use smaller fenders. He is a one man shop in PA and a great person.

Re: D600 body panels
Dodge did not make W600 Sweptlines. It is a D600 converted aftermarket to 4x4. The D700 I saw converted with Napco stuff also had p/s.

Re: D600 body panels
Yep the W500 designation was "retired" after 1971.
I'd like to see more pictures of that rig.
