Hi all,
Finally making some headway on the 1970 Power Wagon (labeled an E20 on the door tag) that I've been needing to get going for a wood truck. Factory 383 4sp PTO rig, ex WA state Dept of Game flatbed truck. Pretty beat but mostly all there. Mice ate some of the T case shift boot, so I need to find a replacement, the correct one would be nice. Also need help with the LU-2 winch, the elver was broken and welded, I'd like to replace it, will probably need to go through the winch, it was leaking oil til it ran out a few years ago, and feels like it's stuck.
Driveline to the winch looks excellent!
Cable feels stuck?
Thx!
Braden LU-2 help, also need 1970 transfer case shift boot.

Re: Braden LU-2 help, also need 1970 transfer case shift boo
My LU-2 also had broken lever & the free-spool wouldnt release, but the winch would work via the PTO shaft. I got the spool to release with lots up penetrant & big pry lever.
I think they all leak.

Hopefully you don't have to replace the big brass gear inside the case. I got the last one Braden-Paccar had for the LU-2 model. They did have a new levers though. I will try to find the part number and contact for it.

Truck's getting a little bit better everyday, down to small projects like tailights, gas gauge, and other misc stuff. Put on a brand new set of direct replacement Trico blades yesterday, NAPA Pt No: (I'll post the # tomorrow when I get out to the shop to look at the receipt.
