Steering Column rebuild and Turn Signal Switch replacement

I have a 1970 Dodge D-100 which is an amazing truck, I am currently rebuilding the steering column and wondering if anyone has a parts breakdown pic so I can know if I have all the correct parts. I have the steering wheel removed and the turn signal switch removed, the person who own the truck prior I believe installed incorrectly and had left parts out. I have been trying to locate one but have been unable to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it a simple column as in a 4 speed, a column shifted 3 speed, or a column shifted auto? They're all different....

I apologize for the delay in my response, it is a 4 speed on the floor with a 225 slant six, so it just a plain column.

He is Just a guy learning from others.
It took me a long time learning from the forum to have the knowledge I have.

Nobody was born knowing these things.

Exactly! That's why it was asked which he has and the possibilities explained. Since he asked for a parts breakdown, folks would need to know which column in order to properly respond to the request. So far, no one has helped with the requested info.

Does the factory service manual have a breakdown of the internal components of the steering column?
If so maybe someone here can post a link or pics.

I know the struggle, lol! I purchased a parts manual, and service manual that are both new reprints but you will find them listed for sale used on places like eBay.

There is a guy (Dodgeboys) on the ramcharger site who has every FSM imaginable. Often if you post your question, he will post up the diagram you need. He also sells FSM in hard copy or pdf form.

You should also get the FSM (Factory Service Manual). It will be exceedingly more useful than the parts book.

I second that! Do get the Factory Service Manual. I recently got a reprint from Faxon Literature on EBay, and I’ve learned more about my truck in a few weeks looking through that thing than I knew in all the years I’ve owned it. Good advice from PwrWgnDrvr.
