Shifter removal

Post by Levigator »

How does the shifter come off of the 4spd...is it the push down and twist variety or does the roll pin need to be removed? I'm not home to try either but think I remember roll pin being there. Thanks all...1969 W100

all you have to do is push down on the shifter cover and twist counter clockwise. pretty strong spring under the cover, I used a pair of channel locks to get mine off. Ozzie.

It’s also a good idea to put it in neutral first.
