Also, there's a huge stumble when the throttle is pressed. I thing I need an accelerator pump. I don't want rebuild the carb, it runs great....on jack stands, in the driveway.
Any suggestion on where i can get the pump for this carb. believe it's a Carter, rebuilt by Holley at some point, according to the sticker on it.

I'd like to replace the thermostat. What make, model truck is going to have this engine, so I can find parts.
The rake on this Jeep cracks me up. That's with extended shackles in the front to try and level it out. Guess this Poly is a bit heavier than the stock engine.
I have seen 59-later with 2 bolt valve covers. But keep in mind there were dozens of different displacement V8 engines used by Chrysler Corp in the 1950s, some Hemi, some poly, some wedge. I'm not always certain of exactly what engine is in any given picture.
For ordering a thermostat or other parts I would try to use 1962 D100 as the basis.
What could the trany T-case combo be? Since it's mated to the 318.
Check with a magnet to see if the bell is aluminum. Does the clutch have a mechanical linkage?
It appears to be mechanical & approached from the REAR. As PwrWgnDrvr stated the bell doesn't resemble anything from a 61-68 TRUCK.
Now I am wondering if the engine & bellhousing are from an early 60's CAR & mated to an oddball 3 speed truck transmission. Unlikely that someone could cobble that together though.

I had an aluminum bell on an LA318 that resembled your photo. If I recall correctly, it came off a 70s vintage Challenger.
That's why I mentioned the magnet test.
If you do take off the trans, do check the runout on that bell. They can warp. I torqued one to the point that it needed the offset dowels to recenter the A833 trans I had. But gad that Dart wagon sleeper was fun!

I've been out for a few days. Just before I left, a buddy stopped 'cause he saw the Jeep in the driveway. He took one look at the tranny and said, that's a T-90. Told me where to look and sure enough it is. He also said the T-case is a Dana 18, but I haven't confirmed that with casting numbers. It likely is.
Bell housing is steel. My friend also did not know what the bell housing was. It is mated to the engine without an adopter.
The flywheel cover is missing, and I was hoping to replace that. So ID'ing the bell housing would still be helpful.
