Seat coverings and body trim

Post by charleypete1957 »

I’ve got a 1970 D100, and a couple of questions. I’m trying to get my seat upholstered. Several places offer seat coverings for up to year model ‘68, then skip to ‘72 and later. Is there really that big a difference in seat sizes between the listed years and the unlisted ones? As it stands I’ve not been able to find anyone who offers a reupholster kit for a 1970. Second question concerns body trim. Is there a guide anywhere to trim options for these trucks? Some have lower trim, some have higher trim and some have both. Some have it on the fender lips, some don’t. Some trucks show no trim at all. A long search on the web has not shown me a place where all the trim options might be listed. Thanks for any help you can offer.

You can see the 16 page 1970 Dodge Pickup & Stake Truck Brochure at https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/vi ... s-01.shtml if it helps?

I see you messaged me. The one I have is similar to link posted. Some images are different. My Dealer brochure is a Canadian version.
Not sure how much if any difference that makes. :thinking :thinking

Ok that’s cool. Upon closer inspection of my truck (haven’t driven it in a few years) I can see there was trim along the lower body but none along the “Sweptline line”. That’s good enough to move forward with. Thanks for your efforts at looking that up for me.
