Power brake booster

Hi all, long time no talk! I have a 67 Fargo, D100, 318 Poly, NP 435 4 speed, 3.91Posi. I installed the Scairbird front disc brake conversion. I would like to add Power brake booster setup too! What do you suggest that would fit from a salvage shop or a new conversion on the market now?

Thanks, Larry

Did you replace the master cylinder with your disc brake conversion? Combo disc/drum master cylinders have a larger reservoir for the front (disc) portion as disc's automatic adjustment is simply to allow the caliper to rest further in the bore as wear occurs. As such, the caliper retains more brake fluid with wear. That is why the master cylinder reservoir is larger for the disc portion, to supply fluid retained in the caliper as a result of pad wear.

So, if you changed the master cylinder with your conversion, the bolt pattern of the master cylinder could be different. A photo of what you have now would help.

Best explanation of that I've seen in a long time.

I've heard some guys use the 8" B-body booster that is sold on Ebay. I have not personally used it though.

Does the b body booster clear the fire wall?
I’m also looking for a replacement for mine.
Or is there a way to rebuild service for the under floor booster my thick came with?
Not trying to hijack a thread here Sorry if I did

Take a photo of your under floor booster and email it to: https://www.powerbrakebooster.com/services-4 to see if they can rebuild it for you.

I believe the Ram Man offers power brake boosters and/or offset mounts that will resolve firewall clearance issues and/or hydraulic clutch master cylinder clearance issues. You'll probably have to call them to get the details: https://therammaninc.com/

The booster has a stand off bracket, so it should clear the firewall. (Again, I have not used this, I just heard some people have used this)

Trucks from the factory came with an OEM standoff bracket for the booster.

I used an early 70's Dodge Dart/Plymouth Valiant style booster. Need a minor tweak at firewall seam.
Had to fabricate the arm to hook from pedal to bellcrank. :salut
