Flywheel needed

Post by 68swep »

Does anyone have a flywheel for a 68 d100? It's for a225 slant 6, 172 tooth, 11" clutch. I cant find a replacement.

I am inclined to believe the 68 & back V8 truck engines also used that same 172 tooth flywheel, but I'm not certain.
And while searching I came across 172 tooth flywheels in Chrysler V8 marine applications.

There is a slant six website that probably would know.

How about this. Are there any other flywheels that would bolt up and maybe only require me getting a new starter?

if I recall rite the slant has one bolt that is offset different than the V8 crank, hole can be slotted without issue

the flywheel is determined by the size of the bellhousing.
