NEW SWEPTLINE NEW PROBLEMS - HELP PLEASE

Post by Sactownog »

I just purchased a 1966 Dodge Sweptline D200 2 door 2wd 318 v8 4spd. BUT I AM NOT HAPPY WITH IT. "YET"

I am a HUGE automotive guy and I like vehicles that are rare. I own a 1933 Dodge DP6 which parts seem to have been easier to find for that then this 1966 Dodge.

At the moment my 1966 Dodge doors do not work correct. the driver door mechanism has a crack and I am sure its bad, but finding this part and many others seems to be non existant. I just missed a bid yesterday for the mechanisms.

anyway, if anyone out there feels like giving me some areas to look for parts to get this truck back to 100% I would much appreciate it.

The door hinges are probably wore out and I would be surprised if they weren't. Mark DuVerge has a good yourtube video on rebuilding them. I added grease zerks to mine, when rebuilding them. Mark and I disagree on the zerks.
