W100 / W200 Tie Rod End

Ok, I have seen lots of post and replies on tie rod ends but nothing specific to my truck (at least that I ran across).
I have a 1968 W100 with 3500lb Dana 44 axel. I think this is the same axel and steering link as the W200. I need both the right hand and left hand rod ends. Some parts I have found are the MOOG #ES354L / R and a NAPA #269-2023. Have not found enough identifying info yet on either that would confirm fit on my W100. If you have replaced your tie rod ends recently and can send me the part number I would really appreciate it. Thank You :clap

Update. I just disassemble the steering center link and both tie rod ends. The driver side is right hand thread and the passenger side is left hand thread. The big surprise however is that the male tie rod end measures 3/4". From the research I have done this is bigger than the standard W100 / W200 that had the 11/16" end? So now I am looking for a 3/4" fine thread tie rod end for a 1968 W100 with SERT upgrade axles. Could possibly be the same as W300?

Can you post some photos of your front axle? I'd like to see
the knuckles and the tie rod in particular.

Dana 44, 3500lb axle with 7" ball. Tie rod is 3/4" fine thread. Not a very good picture but I may be able to get more soon.

Highly unlikely. The W300 of that era uses a DANA 70 front which has the tie rods & center link running BEHIND the axle.

Success, thanks to the guys at NAPA that spent over an hour today looking through parts catalogs for me. Turns out that the tie rods listed for W100 with large 3500lb axel and 7" ball up to 69 are for the most part discontinued. Found ones that work for my 68 W100 with 3500lb axel listed as a replacement for a 1986 Dodge W250. They are same as my original 1968 W100. Specs are 3/4" 16 thread rod with 1/2" tapered stem. Part number is NAPA Chassis 269-2760 (right) and 61 (left). The bad part is that they are $56 each. The good part is that I actually found them :clap and they are made in the good ole USA. :salut :clap Thanks to those that had suggestions. Maybe this can help others with SERT upgraded W100's or W200's.

Good to hear. After reading ur post I went to my spare pile and measured 3 tie rods I have for the large knuckle and sure enough all of them were 3/4 dia as well. Sounds like u have standard 3500lb dana 44 axle tie rods. Let us know if the new ones u ordered do work.

Thanks

Here is an image of the old and new tie rod. New on top, 3/4 inch rod, 16 threads per inch, right hand thread on drivers side, left hand thread on passenger side. Should have time later this week to put everything back together and give an update on fitment.

Closing out this thread. Tie Rods installed, they fit great and work. See above measurements and part numbers. Again this is for my 1968 W100 with 3500lb axel and 7" ball joint. May fit other trucks. Check you application.
