Roof gutter and roof attachment?

Post by khuebner250 »

Does anyone have pics of the factory roof gutters and how the roof skin is attached above the windshield? I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this. But I went and looked at a 66 Dodge crew and something doesn't seem right. The roof was essentially stitch welded all the way around the gutter with zero seam sealer. Just trying to clarify.

Thanks

Yeah, deep down I knew that. I don't think there's a vehicle in the world that isn't spot welded together.

Next question? Do sweptlines have inner and outer roof skins or is it just the outer skin with the inner structural supports?

Does anyone have pics of the roof gutters from some crew cabs? Was there a leaded seam in the rear C pillar? The more I look at this truck, the more I think it maybe a 5 O'Clock Friday truck.
