70 dodge d200
After taking the hood off to paint . Hood no longer fits
Right . Rear of hood is up about a 1/2 inch or so
Tried to adjust. Ran out of adjustment .
Also I think the truck had rubber bumpers on the side
Of the hood .
Where can I buy these bumpers ?
Thanks
Hood

Re: Hood
When you say "adjust" are you incuiding the shims under the hinges. They are very influential. Did you record the number and position of the shims that were probably under the hinges? Do you still have them? They look like a 1-1/4" square with a U shaped slot in the middle of one side. There's probably an old thread on this topic. This site has a pretty good search engine.

Re: Hood
I am having the same issue. The back of the hood is about a 1/2" too high and I can't lower it anymore as I have run out of room where it bolts to the firewall. I did a search but couldn't find anything relevant. Not sure where these hinge shims would go.

Re: Hood
Perfect, thanks. I typed in hood alignment in the search bar but that didn't come up. Maybe I spelt it wrong by mistake.Wildergarten wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 3:22 pm

Will lowering the back of the hood effect the front at all. My front catch is really tight so I figure I will need to adjust the latch on the hood (drop it down a bit) to make it easier to open. Or will adjusting the back loosen up the front?

Sure. Count on anything affecting everything grasshopper, and (upon occasion) revel in being pleasantly surprised.
I gets to doff my hat of whiz-dumb now.
