Clutch pedal spring adjustment
It's just that, do you have to remove the dash cluster to get to the spring?or is there a easier way? My pedal on my '63 D100 gets stuck to the floor when depressed.

Re: Clutch pedal spring adjustment
That more usually happens when the clutch master or slave is failing and there is not enough clutch travel to return the pedal. Also make sure the clutch arm return spring has not broken and the rod is properly adjusted. Also possible the pedal shaft needs lubing. Anything up under the dash is way easier thru the gauge opening and they're real easy to pop out. Put 200,000 miles on a 62 W300 since 1987 and have never had to adjust that spring.

Re: Clutch pedal spring adjustment
When I got my truck the brake/clutch pedals were pretty stiff. I pulled the shaft that the pedals swing on and cleaned and lubed everything. Made a big difference.

Re: Clutch pedal spring adjustment
Update...I pulled the cluster only finding I didn't really have to, I loosened the over tightened over center spring, removed the pushrod, which was bent at the bolt end, straightened and welded up the oblong hole, redrilled, reset end play and all is good in the world.
