383 Oil Pan
383 Oil Pan
I'm not sure where this should really be posted, so sorry if it's misplaced. I'm trying to lower my d100 (total nightmare so far) and realized my oil pan is going to hit the axle if I lower it any more than an inch. The engine is a 383 and the sump is in the front. Has anyone dealt with this and is there a rear sump available? Will a center sump work, the rear sump pans seem to be hard to find. How did you resolve the dipstick issue?

Though it’s a little pricey, Milodon has a rear sump pan in both 6 qt. and 7 qt. They have a dipstick that’s works with the pan. You will need to block the original dipstick hole. If you want, they even have a windage tray that works with it.

The Van's pan looks good. Thank you. Luckily for me, I found a pretty stand up guy locally that had one much cheaper. Thanks for you help.
