Hello,
I just put my passenger door together and when I got to the drivers door I noticed that the door remote is not spring loaded to return the interior door handle to its original position like my passenger door does. When I dug out another driver door remote out of a parts door, I noticed it too was not spring loaded like the passenger door is. Are they both broken or does the drivers inside door handle not have that feature like the passenger side?.
(Silly question but I got to ask anyway)

They're both broken. Remember, the driver door is operated thousands of more times than the passenger door - so they wear out decades earlier.

I can probably help if you need one. Especially for a 1 of 92 Fargo.

Re: Door latch 'remote'
Good news!
I was bored last night so I took apart the 'remote' by bending back the three tabs and opening it up. Found the spiral spring intact, the center end of it had come out of the hole in the splined shaft. With a vice, a string and a whole lot of patience I loaded up the spring and closed the housing back up. Works pretty solid, I operated it many times with out issue. The other one I have probably has the same issue. If anyone else has this issue it might be possible to fix. I took some pictures but I have no idea how to resize them on my phone.
