Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all.
So I recently got hold of a complete dash sifter for my 66 Sweptline. My questions is this: on the side of the sifter, when moved into reverse, it looks like a switch is engaged. I am assuming this is for the rear lights. If so, is there any special wiring I need to do? Or can I just hook it up to a power supply and ground the unit at the dash when screwed in?
Reverse switch on dash shifter
Re: Reverse switch on dash shifter
Sorry, I met to say "i think the switch is for the backup lights".

Re: Reverse switch on dash shifter
Fused power to switch and back to reverse lights. You could control a relay if more than the 2 reverse lights are on circuit.
My truck is younger than me.
