Seat options

I have had a bunch of 61 to 68 trucks. most the seats I think had coil springs or the other type of springs. my current 61 I think might be mostly foam? super comfortable. were there different quality levels of seats available from factory?

As far as I know, they were all foam padded and backed with lateral springs.

Maybe the Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday seats were a bit better.... :thinking :joker

There were definitely two different kind of seats. The standard seat had springs with an inch or so of foam padding over them on the seat bottom and the back rest was just springs. The upgraded seat was full depth foam in the seat bottom, and foam over the springs in the seat back. I have a standard seat in my 65 D200, and I bought a 65 D200 "Custom" truck for parts. The Custom package truck has the full foam seat.

It is also called out in the original truck brochures:

ok that makes sense. mine must have the deluxe version. i put rear shocks on my d300 and with that seat its like a Chrysler 300! ;/)
