I run 15/40 diesel rated oil in my 66 W100 with rebuilt A 318 Poly series. No flat tappet issues using that oil. :thinking :Thumbsup :thinking :Thumbsup :thinking

You have to make sure it contains zinc or you'll wipe off tha cam lobes.

I use 20W50 Valvoline VR1 with high Zinc in my Poly 318

I run Diesel rated 15/40 in my 66 W100 with rebuilt Poly 318, 97 Ram 1500 5.9 gas pot, 1996 Ram 3500 Diesel, 1970 D500 with 400 BB Conversion and my last 440 powered 76 W200. Run that *#%^ in everything I own. I also ran 15/40 in a 1986 New Yorker 2.5 liter 4 cylinder for 15 years.
