Chassis or Frame number (not VIN)

I recall seeing this discussed somewhere - I'm looking at a number on the driver outside mid-frame location that is not the VIN. What is that number, is it just a production sequence number? Or is there some format to it that indicates chassis length/type?

Got it, FRAME not chassis. I looked in the parts manuals online but don't see the number there, but I'm guessing 559 must be for the 114" Utiline

2509 012 128" WB
2509 562 114" WB Town Panel
2509 643 114" WB Cab
2509 644 122" WB
2509 680 104" WB P100/P200
2509 681 122" WB
2509 775 146" WB
2509 890 133" WB

Do you have a SERT number for your frame on the SERT sticker? That does seem weird that it isn't listed in the parts book.

The SERT 'plate' lists all the options for a CSS (console, carpet, seats) but that's it. The frame VIN number and the door jamb VIN plate number match. The 'build tag' says WB 114.

The ute chassis is 3.25" shorter on the @#% end than a wide bed chassis. That may be the diff.

Interesting to note that it looks like your frame was painted black from the factory?
