What is this knob?

Post by LPSewptline »

Just purchased a 1971 Dodge D100 and waiting on it to be shipped to my house. Will do a more formal intro & pics once the vehicle gets delivered but in the meantime can someone tell me what this white knob is? Thanks.

I looked at it on eBay. The white knob/cable goes under the hood to the heater shut off valve I believe. It's something added by a previous owner.

So what's wrong with setting beneath a single pull string incandescent light bulb writing angry letters?

Maybe the original cable broke so this was a quick fix for hard to find original cables??

Thanks MadMC. I need to change that knob to black so it doesn't "stick out" as much.

Or change it back to the original cables. I have new replacement cables for the 69-71 in stock.
