Clutch adjustment

Post by 12Valve »

Hi All,

I had a quick question about the clutch adjustment. I have adjusted the rod at the slave cylinder to have approximately 1/8 inch of travel before it engages the clutch fork. My only problem is that the adjustment went out when I was driving my truck. The engagement point was somewhere between 3/4 to half depressed now it is at the last 1/4 of release.

Does anyone know how to adjust the pedal?

I tested the clutch by trying to start the truck in third, and it stalled which is a good sign that the clutch works and isn't in need of a replacement yet.

Problem solved. I adjusted the throw from the clutch pedal to the master cylinder, now the engagement point is right around 3/4's depressed.
