Fuel gauge.

Post by Rccuervo »

Ok guys and galls, need some help figuring out the correct resistance value of the fuel level sending unit for a '57 D100 stepside. Didn't have much luck sweeping the gauge and getting accurate readings. Closest I could come is about 300 ohms full and 450 ohms empty.

RC, I cannot speak for the 57 model, but the 60's are in the 73 ohms empty, 10 ohms full range, My 70 is 77 empty, 18 full. 300/450 seem pretty high but I am not real familiar with senders.

Thanks for the advice, if I can't find the correct one I may just go completely aftermarket with the sender and gauge.
