Throttle Cable Length

Post by Lobster »

I'm converting my 1964 D200 manual transmission Poly to a Holley 4bbl on a Chrysler Power intake. I need to order the Lokar throttle cable and was wondering what length is best? What is my best option for a gas pedal?

Thanks for all the support so far. I will post photo's when one of my tech friends has time to help me. I'm kind of stuck in the last century...

I used a 70 to 76 Dart A body throttle pedal with cable in my 66. Worked slick as can be. No floor mounted pedal either. Or use a Dodge Pick up from 72 to about 80. Allows using original floor mounted pedal.
My truck is younger than me.

Thank you Dodgeboykim! Sounds like I need to make a trip up to Wildcat Auto Wrecking.

You will know when you find the correct style. It is all self contained in the bolt to firewall assembly. Cable is part of bracket assembly. Makes for a nice conversion.
Done both my 66 W100 and my 70 D500.

Does it matter if it's small block or slant six cable?

This is great information. Thank you for sharing. Looks like I'll be making a JY run next week.

I think the ones I used were SB. SL 6 cable may be longer but can still work. Just loop if you have to. :thinking
