Re: Electronic ignition kit
I rewire and use the factory Ignition module and later dual field alternator.

It is NOT a "dual field alternator".sdenty wrote:I rewire and use the factory Ignition module and later dual field alternator.
It is an isolated field and there is just one field winding.

Hi 67200D,
I installed the Ignitor 2 last year in my 68' with 318 and auto. Installing the distro I had to shift my plug wires one place over to get timing right. The distro had to be rotated clockwise so far to even get it started that the vacuum advance hit the firewall. So I had to shift the wires. Other than that all was smooth. I also got the coil. Out on the road power is great and on a resent trip of 1100 miles half of that with 1000 lbs. in the back I averaged 12.5MPG. Start up is still slower than I want, but I think that is switch related. After spending hours trying to get dwell just right I love this kit.
Good Luck,
Jimharold
