Sweptline Radiators from Champion NOPE....
I have purchased the champion aluminum radiators before and personally haven't had an issue with them. After talking with their support, I sent several pictures and measurements at their request. He is going to check some "book" whatever that means, to see if this was made for other applications. He said its not based on application or OEM part number but, some master "book". They said trucks are hot right now and they are making more truck radiators. I'm not sure how many D/W/100/200 radiator variances or which one is the most common. If anything comes of this I'll add an update. After looking at over 1100 radiators, this appears the closest. I just bought a CC375 that I'm going to put in my 70 D200 383, PS,PB.AC. Either the truck or radiator mounting has to be modified. I'm not spending the several hundred to get an exact fit or re-coring the one I have. I just thought a $200 radiator and a little modification will go along way. I'll document my progress and modifications in a couple weeks. Craig

Re: Sweptline Radiators from Champion maybe
man that would be nice... is that CC375 a champion number?

Definitely keep us posted! I pulled my radiator this weekend and the measurements on mine were very close to the champion CC1640 the only real difference appears it's 1/4 less wide overall. It should be here Thursday so we'll see. The specs are close to the CC375 so if I measured wrong I guess I know what to reorder lol.

Yes it is.
I looked at that one but, being over 26 1/4 tall, I figured you would have to cut the lower support. Let us know and maybe we can come up with what works and what doesn't. I made the CC375-375FS12 radiator/shroud/fan combo from champion work with very little fabrication.

Re: Sweptline Radiators from Champion maybe
The cc1640 dimensions are overall pretty much the same as stock. But the stock radiator has a much shallower lower tank and tapered corners. I have a decent amount of fab work to do! I would say this radiator would be a second option to the cc375 plus I started cutting on mine so I'm kinda committed

bamm how do you find that combo? I may be in the market for a new rad setup... how well does the alternator take that load? Does it cool good enough?

Re: Sweptline Radiators from Champion maybe
I put the part number right there give them a call and they can set you up. Just make sure you have the radiator hose outlets that fit your setup, they have a couple options. I have a newer GM 1 wire alternator so that's not an issue. It's cools well but I think I may need to up a different range cooling fan sensor as it will heat up still if I'm in a lot of traffic.Jhollett wrote:bamm how do you find that combo? Re: Sweptline Radiators from Champion maybe
For #CC375 is there a need to modify the core support opening? The Core of the rad is wider than stock, does this matter?

Re: Sweptline Radiators from Champion maybe
I didn't and even on a 95 degree F day with the AC running idling , the temperature gage now sits at 1/4 where before it was at 1/2. I modified the shroud to fit. Your post reminded me to email the Champion guy.Jhollett wrote:For #CC375 is there a need to modify the core support opening? The Core of the rad is wider than stock, does this matter?

I have never had a shroud... I'll probably leave it anyway because this is going to be an occasional Sunday driver/show truck

Did you have the polished option? Would it be hard to do it myself?

Re: Sweptline Radiators from Champion NOPE....
Nope as Mopar gets no love. Here's what I got back.
As of right now the owners want to pass on making it because we have items that are much higher on the priority list right now. We wouldn't be able to start development for probably 6 months. And then it takes 3 months to get a sample done. Sorry...

Re: Sweptline Radiators from Champion NOPE....
Like I said before I have a champion radiator in my truck right now. We made a brackets to hold it at the bottom and drilled a couple holes at the top. Couldn't have been much more straight forward.

Sorry for going off topic, but what brake booster is that bamm? did it take much fabrication to make it work? Thanks
