Braden LU2 help
Over the weekend I picked up another parts truck(what was left of it), bought it mainly for the LU2 winch hanging off the front of it. I have plans of putting it on either the 65 Powerwagon or maybe the 67 Fargo PW. It is on a 69 up W200 frame, 318,np435 trans and a np205 divorced tcase. The issue, the 69 up frame has different crossmembers and different mounting points for the winch driveshaft. Does anybody have pictures of where the driveshaft is mounted on a 68-and earlier truck. I will have to take this winch apart and make sure that it is rebuildable, for sure the bushing on the passenger side of it is bad. I bought it for real cheap, it has a running very late 318 in it, black one from the mid to late 80's. I will need to find the correct tcase drive adapter too, the 205 one is only a 6 bolt.

Re: Braden LU2 help
I'll have to dig through my stuff, but I'm pretty sure I have a diagram and parts list.
I have complete setup for my 68, but still undecided as to put it on.....

Re: Braden LU2 help
66 to 68 the Braden winch driveshafts went like this.
Winch to shaft. Standoff bracket from frame rail above front axle.
Next shaft to block on trans frame cross member.
Third shaft up to PTO.
Think that's how it was on my 66 when it still had winch. Least I hope so.

My truck is younger than me.
