69 D200 swap to 2001 1500 underpinnings ?

Anyone dabble with a complete body swap from 69 to 2001 ? Recently had my 01 1500 catch on fire - for unexplained reasons - at any rate I bought it back and am considering putting the 69 sweptline on the 01 frame ? Silly or dumb ?? or better off to just swap in the motor/trans and axles from the 01 ?? Yes I know I will need the electronics, etc from the 01== not a huge deal - Any input ? I just REALLY like the thought of having a 4wd 69 w/ upgraded drivetrain - the body is in nearly rust free condition, I just don't drive it much since it's such a gas pig w/ the 435 and 4:11's (6/8 mpg)

It's been awhile for me here but then again, the 69 been sitting for couple years begging to be driven. still starts and drives decent as is, just wanting to make it more of a daily driver

Have a look at the shape of the frames. The frame on the swepty's is a lot straighter than the newer trucks.

Speaking of which, does anyone happen to have a copy of the 01 Ram 1500 4x4 frame chart ?? I have the 69 so I'm good there
