Weight of crew cab and bed for moving estimate?

Post by BobbyC »

Hello! in order to get the right number of bodies to move the bed and crew cab off the frame, I wondered if anybody could give me the weight of each component? The bed is a 8' sweptline and the cab is entirely gutted outside of some welded up square tubing to keep it square. We are willing but bad backs, knees and hips kinda cut down lifting capacity. Thanks Bob

Reg cab stripped is almost exactly 300# (I weighed one). Short bed w/o tailgate liftable with 2 guys, but not comfortably. Go from there.

I'd go with four on the bed, and six with the cab, even if it's gutted, just to keep that under control.
