Can't get carrier out of 44F
Got a 71 W100 with 44 Front Axle parts truck that I can't get the carrier out of the case. Cups are off ,axles pull. PB blasted it for two days. FSM syas pry with screwdriver Any tricks?

They are slightly preloaded. What works best for me is to wrap a chain around the diff. then I put a jackall against the front of the housing and hook the chain with the jackall. Then I jack it out. Hopefully you can visualize that. It works best with a helper to hold the foot of the jackall and catch the diff when it comes out of the housing.

That is a good one Sheldon, another good one is wad up a rag and while turning carrier let rag get wedge in between ring a pinion it will force carrier outwards.
And had luck with solid round pry bar in close to spiders and other against cover area and careful pry out wards.

Big prybar...with the caps just barely started, so the whole shebang doesnt hit the floor.
