Sandcast valve cover fit problems...

Post by WD »

Had too long to return. Only 2 holes per line up perfectly. Already swapped to studs in the head flange holes, got tired of the gaskets slipping.

Easy fixes? I'm thinking of drilling the holes out from fits over a 1/4-28 stud to fits over a 5/16 stud to gain some adjustment room. Glue the gaskets to the covers once the holes line up, install... Should seal up alright, right?
If I didn't build it, it ain't mine.

Installed. Extra set of hands and a rubber mallet. Had to take what felt like half the truck apart in the process. Old Cal Custom style covers, look good, but a serious hassle to install.
