hood weatherstripping

Post by don6061 »

Does anyone know if there is any weatherstripping for the hood to cowl
for our sweptline trucks. Thanks.

Was there any reason that it never came from the factory
when it seems the cars had these.

Does this seem to keep water from dripping down
the firewall between the hood. Thanks.

FSM shows no cowl weatherstripping in the pictorials, nor is there any mention in the text. Section 23, Body and Sheetmetal.
None is/was on any of the 30+ trucks I own(ed), nor the 50+ Ive parted, nor the 100+ Ive photographed in junkyards.

Hey dodgeboykim, if you still have that cowl strip from a dodge truck. I would like to take it off your hands. Thanks.
