How to remove shift knob?

I wonder how I remove the shift knob on a dash mounted shifter?

It should have a little set screw in it

Tiny little thing, on the bottom, near the shaft. Bend down, look up!

I think he just picked a picture from the site as an example. That is a truck that I drove for over 20+ years. It started as a beat up worn out 69 w100 318 4 speed,ended up with a 68 d100 body,383/727 and 60s front and rear...Frankenstine.
I sold all of my sweptline trucks,except the invisible one. I just couldn't stand to see it go!
