Help finding preformed carpet

Post by HAIRYBIKINI »

I have the replacement rubber flooring I ordered and it looks like crap since it isn't preformed. I am looking for a molded carpet kit for my 1962 D100 but cannot find anything. Does anybody have a link to where I can order this?

You can get a carpet kit that is molded on rockauto.com for a good price.

Can you send me a link? I buy everything from Rockauto, and I cannot find a carpet kit anywhere on their site for a 1962, or any carpet for that matter. If you would be so kind to steer a lost soul, I'd appreciate it!

Rubber Mat/carpet is the same '61-'71 100-200 series. This picture is carpet but read the detail. It's the rubber full cab mat.

Hi there,
You could try these guys...it doesn't say anything about extended cabs but worth asking.

I just ordered a carpet from them for my 68 D100.

As for the ACC Carpets, I just fitted a Poly Backed one into an 04 Dakota, and the fit was very poor. I'm about to fit one in a 94 Ram, and based on how it looks resting out of the box I have no hope for it fitting any better.

I hope/there Mass Backed floors are better fitting, I know they will be better insulators, just did not realize that the option was available as the vendor I used did not make it an option.

I wish I'd bought from these guys http://www.varkmotors.com/ as in mailing them they seem so much more knowledgeable and will ship you color swatches if you aren't sure about how good/bad the color will work.

Good luck,
Will
Thanks,
Will

Do they make them for the D100, I checked out the link but there was no option for truck or D100.

I used the carpet kit that RockAuto sells. It is made by ACC. It was molded well but the overall fit wasn't excellent. It required lots of trimming on the driver side and was actually a little short on the passenger side. But the price is right so I made it work. After a little wrestling with it it looks great now.

I assume you bought the lower cost Poly backed ACC carpet? I wish I'd bought the Mass Back for the Dakota I did as I'd love to see how much better it might have fit.
Thanks,
Will

Nope. I got the mass back one. It seemed like they had the carpet crooked when they molded it. I fabbed some aluminum trim pieces and you can't even tell now

Ah that sucks! I could tell mine was molded *#%^-eyed on the 94 Ram, and yes both took some trimming. Well, Guess I'm not as thrilled as I'd hoped to be on the news of how the Mass Back Carpet fit.
Thanks,
Will

Hi Cris,
I ordered a carpet kit for my '71 W200 from ACC (or an affiliate), and also ordered some extra 'blank' carpet (flat stock).
Depending on how much one orders, this provides enough to do a full-carpet treatment all the way back to and over the gas tank ( up to the rear window), and/or the relatively flat rear floor of a crew cab.

I ordered mine from them, and was very pleased. Everything fit great, came with plenty of padding.
