Rusty tailgate, rockers and possibly the rear of cab is sinking? $1000? If that rusty. $2000 if not?

Value is dependent on a lot of things. From the limited pics, you are asking for a value that can not be determined with three pictures. No interior pics, no pics of the cab mounts, cowl, inner front fenders where they bolt to the cab, cab floors, cab corners, bed floor & sides, tailgate (appears very rusty at the bottom!), and so on. Is the wiring unmolested, or has it been "improved" upon by a previous owner? Does all of the electrical work? Are you certain that the engine is a 440 and not a 413, 400, 383, or 361? Any options? See what I'm saying?

Ballpark (assuming it runs and has a valid title in the seller's name!) value would be anywhere from $800 to $3,500, based solely on your limited information. Are you looking to buy this to keep or flip; or are you looking for a value for insurance purposes???

Go from there.

Not in the Swepties. The 440 became available in the Lifestyle trucks in MY1972.

If a 440, 440 will be casted in the block, believe on the driver's side.

It's quick to tell from topside, 440 or "RB" blocks have a protruding stamped pad in the casting in front of the valley pan, which has the info. A 383 or "B" block doesn't have this, and the info is stamped on the flat surface next to the distributor.
