Hi Guys,
Getting ready to install a chemical liner in the 59 D100's fuel tank. Does anyone know the gallon capacity of the 59 tank? I have enough liner for a 20 gallon tank and want to be sure it's enough.
Thanks,
John

I don't know for certain, but '61-'68 trucks only had 16 gallon tanks (as a general rule), so I'm thinking you'll be okay.

Actually, as a general rule they are 18 gal. 16's are quite scarce. Bigger tanks were never offered until 69.demulsion wrote:I don't know for certain, but '61-'68 trucks only had 16 gallon tanks (as a general rule), so I'm thinking you'll be okay.

Thanks for the help. It was an 18 gallon tank and after all of the repairs still had a small leak. I'm buying a new after market tank with sending unit......will take some modification to make the existing filler spout work.
