Major Dilemma

Post by OregonDodgeboy »

Just today I had yet another monkey wrench thrown into getting my W200 back on the road. :banghead

You see, I also have a 1925 Dodge Roadster. Well,.... I have the body for one that is, including the grille shell, grill and original radiator (that I can have duplicated! :Thumbsup )

So without a chassis, the roadster has been a storage item for many years. Quite by accident I discovered years ago that a Ford Courier LWB has the perfect frame shape to fit it. I have to go to a 4 bar rear with coils, since I have to hack the last 2 - 3 feet off of the frame, but it otherwise follows it perfectly. Looks like a "Turtle deck T", if ya know what one of those is.

Anyway, I am on the verge of being given a very useable Courier. Might arrive tomorrow! We shall see. See my plight? I need the W200 from time to time, since my Scout 2 isn't set-up to be much of a hauler. But the Roadster would be cool, especially with summer coming. (And up here I think it's gonna be a long and hot one this year, judging by the winter we had)

Any ideas? (And no, :shame it's not for sale. I've got to finish it and enjoy it for myself and drive it for a while first.)

getting the old one done by summer is a huge long shot, plus you migth need the d200 to haul parts for the old dodge. go for the swept first, and take your time on the old truck :Thumbsup

Fix the truck first. Put the 25 body in the bed so you can tinker with it at lunch. :Thumbsup
